Colossians 4:7-18  (7) All my state shall Tychicus declare unto you, who is a beloved brother, and a faithful minister and fellowservant in the Lord:  (8)  Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that he might know your estate, and comfort your hearts;  (9)  With Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall make known unto you all things which are done here.  (10)  Aristarchus my fellowprisoner saluteth you, and Marcus, sister's son to Barnabas, (touching whom ye received commandments: if he come unto you, receive him;)  (11)  And Jesus, which is called Justus, who are of the circumcision. These only are my fellowworkers unto the kingdom of God, which have been a comfort unto me.  (12)  Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.  (13)  For I bear him record, that he hath a great zeal for you, and them that are in Laodicea, and them in Hierapolis.  (14)  Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas, greet you.  (15)  Salute the brethren which are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church which is in his house.  (16)  And when this epistle is read among you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and that ye likewise read the epistle from Laodicea.  (17)  And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.  (18)  The salutation by the hand of me Paul. Remember my bonds. Grace be with you. Amen. Written from Rome to Colossians by Tychicus and Onesimus.

Faithful in the Word

Psalms 12:1-8  (1) To the chief Musician upon Sheminith, A Psalm of David. Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.  (2)  They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.  (3)  The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:  (4)  Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?  (5)  For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.  (6)  The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.  (7)  Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.  (8)  The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.

What are You Looking at?

Acts 17:12-23  (12) Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.  (13)  But when the Jews of Thessalonica had knowledge that the word of God was preached of Paul at Berea, they came thither also, and stirred up the people.  (14)  And then immediately the brethren sent away Paul to go as it were to the sea: but Silas and Timotheus abode there still.  (15)  And they that conducted Paul brought him unto Athens: and receiving a commandment unto Silas and Timotheus for to come to him with all speed, they departed.  (16)  Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred in him, when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry.  (17)  Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him.  (18)  Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans, and of the Stoicks, encountered him. And some said, What will this babbler say? other some, He seemeth to be a setter forth of strange gods: because he preached unto them Jesus, and the resurrection.  (19)  And they took him, and brought him unto Areopagus, saying, May we know what this new doctrine, whereof thou speakest, is?  (20)  For thou bringest certain strange things to our ears: we would know therefore what these things mean.  (21)  (For all the Athenians and strangers which were there spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing.)  (22)  Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.  (23)  For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.
